The Foundry gives Land O’ Lakes residents a workshop without buying the tools
Library makerspace classes and Open Build appointments cover woodworking and fabric crafts, with advance registration and a waiver.

A woodworking or sewing project does not have to begin with purchasing a full set of tools. The Foundry at Land O’ Lakes Library offers introductory classes and Open Build appointments using the makerspace’s equipment.
Instructor-led classes provide materials. Open Build appointments let patrons work on approved projects with their own materials, with a staff member or volunteer present to help. Registration opens seven days before the event through the calendar, by phone or in person.
A signed liability waiver and the makerspace playbook are required. The general minimum age is nine, although some classes and equipment are limited to adults. The workshop is at 2818 Collier Parkway. Call 813-929-1214 or use the official page to select an activity and check its requirements.
