FDOT plans more left-turn lanes at US 41 and SR 54, with construction expected in fall 2027
The Land O’ Lakes intersection project remains in design. FDOT plans additional left-turn lanes on three approaches.

Drivers at US 41 and State Road 54 in Land O’ Lakes can expect a future turn-lane expansion, with construction scheduled to begin in fall 2027. FDOT currently lists the project in design.
The work calls for additional left-turn lanes on the north, east and south approaches, along with milling and resurfacing. Its 0.63-mile limits cover US 41 from Leonard Road to Carson Drive and SR 54 east of US 41.
FDOT held a public meeting October 5 at Land O’ Lakes Heritage Park. Residents can use the agency’s project page to find the meeting presentation and subscribe to project alerts. Design questions can go to Eyra Cash at 813-975-6164.
